Diversity Drives Dollars

Diversity Drives Dollars

Higher levels of women in leadership and across the company enhance financial performance.

Does diversity drive dollars? This intriguing question inspired Olivia and Tuva, from Stockholm School of Economics, to explore the relationship between gender diversity and financial performance in a study in collaboration with SEB.

Leveraging data from Denominator, the study suggests a positive correlation between higher levels of gender diversity and profitability (EBITDA). The study explores multiple levels of the company; from board positions, executive team to senior management and all employees, finding that both leadership levels have a significant positive impact on financial performance.

With the largest data set on gender across all levels, Denominator is happy to provide data for new research to bring more knowledge and transparency into topics like this. Thank you for the collaboration and congratulations to the authors on their graduation and insightful contribution to the research field.
