Our Focus
Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) is a subcategory of the Social aspect of ESG.
Within DEI the focus for Denominator is Data, Ratings and Research. Only with global standardized and comparable data is it possible to obtain the necessary insights to manage risk and create improvement.

I joined Denominator in April of 2021, bringing over two decades of software engineering experience to the technology team.
Being a software engineer as well as an ordained Buddhist priest, it’s been a challenge to find work that applies my technical skills to my Zen principles. Denominator provides me with a unique opportunity to apply both my thinking mind and my heart-mind to helping companies around the world improve their DEI policies and practices.
Living in the northeastern United States for all my life, I have been blessed to have personally experienced relatively little racism, even though my Japanese heritage is clear in my features and many of my habits. But throughout my life, I’ve seen how terrible we humans can be to each other because of perceived differences. I am glad to be working at Denominator towards ending this tribalism that is so unnecessary in the modern world.

Emma Helbo
Head of External Relations & Communication
With a background in Political Science and experiences in Public Affairs, I joined Denominator in May 2021 and drive our external relations to various stakeholders such as clients, partners, journalists, and media relations for Denominator’s corporate communication.
I am a true Mavrick. Originally from Vietnam and adopted at the age of two, so do consider myself a native Dane. As a strong advocator of Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion, I work for global transparency to DEI. By providing DEI scores and ratings, Denominator empowers institutional investors, supply chain managers, and corporate leaders to incorporate DEI considerations into decisions and practices powered by granular and holistic DEI data.

As CEO of Denominator, I do a little bit of everything, but my most important job is to engage with people both inside and outside of Denominator. Data might be the foundation of knowledge and accountability, but it requires people to turn knowledge and accountability into solutions and improvements. In the end, my job is about people.
Prior to Denominator, I spent more than a decade working at Moody’s Analytics with people across Europe, US, Canada, Latin America, and some parts of Asia. I have a Master’s degree in Political Science but think my most important skills and life lessons come from my upbringing. I was raised by a single mother in Denmark but come from a multinational family with a Swedish father, a sister from Asia and another sister from the Arctic region. We were all different, but all the same. This taught us empathy, curiosity for the unknown, and that it is ok to agree to disagree.

My journey has led me to actively advance the ESG agenda through partnerships, driven by my personal commitment to people and planet.
As a woman and expatriate, intersectionality fuels my dedication to the DEI space. I’m excited to collaborate with you on our journey towards a more sustainable and inclusive future.

Stanislav 'Stan' Sartasov

I am CTO of Denominator and I am directly or indirectly responsible for our web applications and databases. I also lead further software development efforts, align integration roadmaps and their implementation with third parties and keep an eye on product ownership and requirements management. After all, software development is much more social process than usually thought.
As a citizen of the world currently residing in Valencia, I’ve been working in software development for 15 years for different companies all around the globe, and I also spent more than 10 years as university assistant professor of Software Engineering department and have a Ph.D. in Computer Science related to sustainable energy. As someone who had experienced discrimination by the place of birth, I am fully committed to Denominator mission to build a better and fairer world.

As a key mediator between business and technology, my role at Denominator involves the orchestration and management of data initiatives. This includes the development of data models, ensuring data quality, and implementing data solutions aimed at strengthening the efficiency of Denominator’s strategic business decisions.
My engineering background has influenced my enthusiasm for challenging the boundaries of traditional practices. My goal is to create an environment that encourages innovation and creative problem-solving, embracing the challenge of exploring new methodologies and concepts.
Being a Muslim, Arab, Middle Eastern, African, and Egyptian living in Europe, my cultural experiences have significantly shaped my outlook, especially in the areas of diversity and inclusion. Oriana Ortega Dongú
Research Specialist Manager
As Research Specialist Manager, I manage the research teams in different regions ensuring the quality, validation, and delivery of our data efforts. Information is extremely valuable and placing it at everyone’s grasp is one of the most relevant contributions one can make.
Prior to joining Denominator, I held several roles such as Project Financial Manager at Ericsson, being member of the National Finance Support Team at AIESEC in Mexico, as well as Finance and Legality Vice-President and Team Leader at AIESEC in ITAM.
Born and raised in Mexico City, I was heavily influenced by diversity, inclusion, and a very rich culture. I hold a Bachelor’s degree from ITAM in International Relations and am keen on learning languages. I believe it’s the best way to understand and be truly immersed in other cultures and ways of living. This has led me to be certified in English, French, and Italian.

Kristian Wredstroem
Senior Growth Manager
As a native Dane turned global citizen, I’ve spent nearly half my life living outside the cozy confines of Denmark. My journey has immersed me in a blend of different cultures, ethnicities, socioeconomic backgrounds, and beliefs. This exposure has not only enriched my personal life but has also deeply informed my professional ethos. I am fortunate to work in a field that actively promotes equality of opportunity, regardless of the differences we all share.
I lead Denominator’s sales team, focusing on integrating DEI insights into the strategic frameworks of influential corporations. Our mission is to ensure that these organizations not only succeed in their markets but also lead as exemplars of diversity and inclusivity, ultimately creating the most valuable and inclusive business environment globally.
In my free time, you’ll likely catch me logging miles in preparation for my next marathon, charming dogs of all breeds, playing a highly mediocre round of golf, or drinking an over-priced latte at my local coffee shop in Brooklyn.

I joined Denominator as a part of the research team. One of my main tasks is to search, prospect, and perform quality controls on the global DEI data. Denominator allows me to support equality and preserve diversity.
Working with many nationalities and living in different parts of the world helped me realize the importance of DEI and how much we need to discuss the topic.
I graduated from El Shorouk Academy with a bachelor’s degree in Architectural Engineering and Urban Planning, but most of my experience has been in the field of business.
I am an Egyptian-Brazilian citizen, born and raised in Egypt where I lived until I finished my education. After that I worked in different companies around the Middle East, Europe, and Latin American. Right now, I live in Brazil with my wife and daughter.
