Our Focus
Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) is a subcategory of the Social aspect of ESG.
Within DEI the focus for Denominator is Data, Ratings and Research. Only with global standardized and comparable data is it possible to obtain the necessary insights to manage risk and create improvement.

Meet the Team
Denominator is an international company with people in almost every part of the world; we are all different, but all the same. The same can be said about our clients and partners. We approach our job with empathy, curiosity, and a desire to create the best possible data and insights to facilitate knowledge and accountability-based solutions within Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion.
By introducing some of our people, we want you to get to know us a little better.

I joined Denominator in April of 2021, bringing over two decades of software engineering experience to the technology team.
Being a software engineer as well as an ordained Buddhist priest, it’s been a challenge to find work that applies my technical skills to my Zen principles. Denominator provides me with a unique opportunity to apply both my thinking mind and my heart-mind to helping companies around the world improve their DEI policies and practices.
Living in the northeastern United States for all my life, I have been blessed to have personally experienced relatively little racism, even though my Japanese heritage is clear in my features and many of my habits. But throughout my life, I’ve seen how terrible we humans can be to each other because of perceived differences. I am glad to be working with Denominator towards ending this tribalism that is so unnecessary in the modern world.

Elena Voloshina
UI/UX Designer
Izmir, Turkey
I work as UI/UX designer on design projects in collaboration with the team. For me, a UX designer must be a great collaborator, a great compromiser, and of course a great advocator for the users. At Denominator, I am focused on creating meaningful experiences through design for all people who use our products.
I am originally from Ukraine but have been living abroad since 2017, as the political situation in the eastern region of my native country forced me to leave. Having this experience, I believe Denominator’s mission is necessary for our world as a cure. A holistic approach to Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion reveals how we always have more in common than what differentiates us. Our work shows the strength of DEI as a unifying factor, which brings hope for my hometown.

As CEO of Denominator, I do a little bit of everything, but my most important job is to engage with people both inside and outside of Denominator. Data might be the foundation of knowledge and accountability, but it requires people to turn knowledge and accountability into solutions and improvements. In the end, my job is about people.
Prior to Denominator, I spent more than a decade working at Moody’s Analytics with people across Europe, US, Canada, Latin America, and some parts of Asia. I have a Master’s degree in Political Science but think my most important skills and life lessons come from my upbringing. I was raised by a single mother in Denmark but come from a multinational family with a Swedish father, a sister from Asia and another sister from the Arctic region. We were all different, but all the same. This taught us empathy, curiosity for the unknown, and that it is ok to agree to disagree.

Paolo Bettoni
Head of Data & Analytics

I support in different areas to ensure Denominator runs smoothly: from making sure that research and data processes are in place and the team is motivated, to delivering analysis for our clients and partners.
I have a background in Physics, but I spent most of my career working within management consulting at IBM, Accenture and Bain & Company. One of the reasons to join Denominator is very personal: having experienced discrimination just for being myself growing up as an LGBTQ+ person in a small village in the Italian Alps, I can now work to create a more diverse, equitable and inclusive (business) world.

Ann Rosenberg
Advisory Board
Los Angeles, USA
As a global citizen based in Los Angeles, I have 25 years of experience in the corporate world working with sustainability and purpose. After 20 years at SAP, I have now moved to Wood plc where I am Senior Vice President for Sustainability Solutions. I was part of founding SDG Ambition with UN Global Compact and have dedicated my life to serving as a trailblazer for the UN SDGs. I am also a UN Women GICC member and Global Program Lead for #sheinnovates.
I am part of Denominator’s Advisory Board and will use my experience to develop the business and create further growth. As a pioneer of structured data on Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion (DEI), Denominator has the potential of being a strong partner for every organization that’s interested in strengthening their DEI performance and benchmark against peers. We need trusted data providers, like Denominator, to deliver important insights with a holistic approach on DEI.

Yasser Elsedawy
Business Intelligence Lead

I act as a key interface between business and tech, moreover, I collaborate with internal and external stakeholders on strategic and operational goals, while designing, developing, and maintaining metrics, reports, analysis, and dashboards, to drive and track the performance of Denominator’s key business decisions.
With a background in Engineering, I always have the desire to expand my boundaries and explore uncharted territories. I’m not one to do things the way they’ve always been done. I thrive in conditions that allow me to experiment and play with ideas.
As a Muslim, Arab, Middle Eastern, African, and Egyptian who is based in Europe, having experienced discrimination first-hand in & out of the workplace, joining Denominator’s mission to advance Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion around the globe is crucial for me to assist into creating a better future for everyone, where the right conditions are created for people to live a life they value, where their human rights are protected, and where they equally participate in their society.

Oriana Ortega Dongú
Research Specialist Manager
Mexico City, Mexico
As Research Specialist Manager, I manage the research teams in different regions ensuring the quality, validation, and delivery of our data efforts. Information is extremely valuable and placing it at everyone’s grasp is one of the most relevant contributions one can make.
Prior to joining Denominator, I held several roles such as Project Financial Manager at Ericsson, being member of the National Finance Support Team at AIESEC in Mexico, as well as Finance and Legality Vice-President and Team Leader at AIESEC in ITAM.
Born and raised in Mexico City by a single mother, I was heavily influenced by diversity, inclusion, and a very rich culture. I hold a Bachelor’s degree from ITAM in International Relations and am keen on learning languages. I believe it’s the best way to understand and be truly immersed in other cultures and ways of living. This has led me to be certified in English, French, and Italian.

Kristian Wredstroem
Business Strategy & Partnerships
New York, USA
Working within our Business Strategy & Partnerships department, my focus is on developing and maintaining our business operations and fostering partnerships. Engagement with our clients and partners to ensure alignment with their individual needs energizes me, and I always strive to make myself available for a quick phone call.
Though I’m a Danish citizen, my love for American football brought me to the United States at the age of 16 and allowed me to obtain a degree in Finance & Economics from Wagner College in New York. After a total of 6 years studying in the US, I returned home to Denmark and spent several years in project management in the financial services industry.
Diversity & Inclusion played a large role in my upbringing. Our home was always open to individuals and families of all different backgrounds that needed a roof over their head. Given these experiences, differences in race, gender, age, socio-economic background, etc. were always introduced to me as a measure of strength rather than a weakness.

Emma Helbo
Content Manager & Partnerships
Aarhus, Denmark
As the youngest on our team, I joined Denominator in May 2021 and am responsible for our content and communication. This includes internal communication as well as external such as press releases, media relations and content for our website and LinkedIn. I also work with our partnerships and business development.
With a background in Political Science, I have experience from various interest groups and lived in Brussels working with EU policy and lobbyism. I’m a strong advocator of a holistic approach to DEI; we need to go beyond gender and race and information, transparency, and strong data are key to achieve real improvements. I want to help companies and organizations improve DEI, as I believe real changes often come from within the industry and businesses themselves.
At the age of two, I was adopted from Vietnam by Danish parents and grew up in a small town along with my sister, who is from China. When we were younger, people always said we looked alike, but we don’t. It always seemed a mystery to us that people didn’t seem to notice the diverse characteristics that made us inherently unique. As we grew older, however, we developed many common interests, such as justice, as she became a Lawyer and I’m a Lay Judge.

I joined Denominator as a part of the research team. One of my main tasks is to search, prospect, and perform quality controls on the global DEI data. Denominator allows me to support equality and preserve diversity.
Working with many nationalities and living in different parts of the world helped me realize the importance of DEI and how much we need to discuss the topic.
I graduated from El Shorouk Academy with a bachelor’s degree in Architectural Engineering and Urban Planning, but most of my experience has been in the field of business.
I am an Egyptian-Brazilian citizen, born and raised in Egypt where I lived until I finished my education. After that I worked in different companies around the Middle East, Europe, and Latin American. Right now, I live in Brazil with my wife and daughter.
