US & UK: Women constitute less than 10% of CEOs – and women-led companies outperform on DEI

During a period of 10-years from 2012 to 2022, the 41 women-led companies in the S&P 500 have outperformed the 459 male-led companies, according to Girls That Invest.

Not only do women-led companies provide a better return on investment, but they also outperform on Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion (DEI), according to Denominator’s total DEI score.

On average, companies led by women perform 9% better on DEI than male-led companies in the US and UK where less than 10% of CEOs are women.
